Perfect Times 6/4f...another Mark Johnston favourite beaten. A year ago I started noting Mark Johnston's beaten favourites. What is amazing is the number of odds on favourites he has that are beaten, it's a bigger percentage than even just favourites he has beaten. Even more amazing is the fact that they are never asked for an explanation by the stewards.
Simple mathematics tells you an odds on favourite has more chance of winning than not - so why aren't these investigated - integrity and all that ?
I think the stewards for some reason are scared of Johnson, or maybe they  just say, " sculduggery? Oh definitley not , we have seen his horseboxes going up and down the M1 they even say "always trying" on the back!"

Err no, logic like that is a quick route to the poorhouse. There are many odds-on bets that have little chance of winning; it's just punters didn't know that beforehand for some reason.

I do agree that Johnson has a terrible record with favourites then winning the race. My guess is he doesn't really have a clue about placement and just goes for a scattergun approach. Over the years it has paid me to just ignore his horses and concentrate on other runners at better prices. I can't remember many occasions when he has done me by his favourite winning the race.

Horrible yard ..many examples over the seasons of his horses winning like champions then running as if they are drunk on the next outing .. the yard is totally unreadable .. Johnston as the media fawning all over him and no one will question the in and out form of his horses .. I try to give the stable a massive swerve.

Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that PERFECT TIMES, placed fourth, had bled from the nose.

they don't get beat when you give them an easy time up front (don't tell any jockeys, they've not noticed Wink)

at the prices i've gone dubai instinct, hope they're not just going to sit there & watch the johnstone make all ..

I wouldn't win lay it as its form justifies its price imo - I might lay it for a bit in the 3 to be placed market as it is very short and there is a chance it might not have recovered from goodwood and bath's firm going can sometimes affect horses that seem to handle g-f.

I've opposed Overwrite in the 4.40. Can't see why it is so short.

OK so the race was half over by the time that post appeared, and I was not banking on Clem A to win.

But Overwrite was 4/7 and not even top-rated.
