Jockey has whip in correct hand, horse stills veers further over and jockey then yanks the horse off the 2nd and even sacrifices forward momentum to look back to check what's happened, what more could he have done. There's an anti Moore factor involved in the criticism of the ride I think.

Agree, I thought the result would stand but how can you bet that at 1/8? I suppose you could say that in a normal race, as the winner went past the 2nd in the final furlong you'd be tripping over yourself to get 1/8 on it, and with a little shaved off for the stewards that's what you were getting for a winner. |
