It is to fit in with the other jurisdictions Barrowboy,their systems not geared up for 4 places,the only upside is the 3 places for 7 runner races,that said only a tiny percentage of the PP is contributed by them.

This is not right for the Placepot at Ascot as HK is not betting into a Placepot pool and therefore the 1st four in the big 16-runner plus handicaps should stand as normal. Yes, commingling creates obvious liquidity and revenue for Ascot, but there is a distinct feel of the tail wagging the dog here. Hong Kong is running exotic pools on Ascot that the host venue does not (the Double Trio for example), therefore why should a pool it does not contribute to need to be altered?

Co mingling is contrary to best advice for Social Distancing and exotics are not permitted in most jurisdictions or did I read wrong and the WHO recommend erotics and and mingling as a form of exercise?

Quite bizarre that Tote decreed their inaugural Superpool should be at a racecourse that had washed its hands of their business, like Chesterbet, Ripon etc.
