was discussed on another thread and I'm sure they are running 2 different pools, placepot stays the same, world pool different place terms
|
|
By:
don't take that as gospel as I cant find the relevant post
|
|
By:
dealer
think it's one pool,placepot 1st 3 only. |
|
By:
Wrong the dealer but right as you said, already discussed.Only ONE pool for Ascot, the other meetings are as per normal Tote UK. HTH and Pisspot 3 places 7+ runners and 1st 3 regardless if 33 runners in a handicap for Ascot.
|
|
By:
scoop6 1st 3 places only aswell,dealer.
Royal Ascot only. |
|
By:
apologies, that would be why I couldn't find the post

Nice idea to join the pools together but to change the placing rules that have been the same for years and years is risky. It will alienate many long-term players and risk ending up with some very unhappy punters. Imagine missing out on a big pot because you had the 4th in a 28-runner handicap!

How on earth did they dream this nonsense up. Incredible.

Agree jamee1,already discussed but you are correct, the morons i.e New owners harping on about liquidity etc are fukcing deluded in their ambition to attract high end punters. The TOTE is a means for the masses and no more, never has been and never will be.A simple licence to print money due to the takeout but these morons have learned NOTHING from multiple jurisdictions, those they have now invited into the "Superpool".
The liquidity might increase but the dividends will be only a fraction better at best even without the On Course books and returned "Industry SP",note how they are saying other jurisdictions bet more on exotics than win or place as part of their advertising? It is fact but means nothing other than their takeout will increase, next week it will be situation normal and downhill from there for the NANNY. NAP |

Tote will continue to operate local pools at Ascot, other than those nominated as a ‘World Pool’ and commingled.

The 36 scheduled contests over the five days offer a wealth of punting opportunities and those using the Tote will be betting into newly launched Superpools.
Tote pool changes for Royal Ascot Superpools have been created to reflect the super-sized pools generated from international co-mingling between pool betting operators around major race meetings. This will ensure there is far greater liquidity as racing fans from around the world, including places such as Hong Kong, bet into one giant pool. The World Pool was introduced at Royal Ascot last year with great success, as total pool turnover enjoyed a 415 per cent year-on-year increase, while the win pool for the 2019 Diamond Jubilee Stakes exceeded £1 million. One important rule change to note for the duration of Royal Ascot for those betting into the pools is that the Tote will be paying on three places only for races with seven or more runners regardless of whether it is a handicap or not. This change impacts all bets, whether a World Pool or not, and includes place, Quadpot, Placepot and Scoop 6 bets. This rule change is not permanent and will not be a standard Tote or World Pool rule for future events. For all our exclusive Royal Ascot free bet offers and must-have daily promotions click the free bets button or go to racingpost.com/freebets FIRST PUBLISHED 7:26AM, JUN 16 2020Rainfall at the track has caused the going to be eased slightly on the morning of day one |
