I'm after feedback as to how the new ATR stream has been working for everyone over the past 2 days at Newcastle?

Obviously latency is an issue, even on the minimum setting the pictures are about 1.7 seconds behind live, but my pictures have been far from fluent, making it very hard to gauge how a horse is travelling and ability to read a race. Main issues are a pause followed by a black screen for a second throughout the race and it's been particularly bad at the end of a race. I've tried on different browsers/ latency settings and it makes little difference.

Please post in here if you have had similar issues or indeed if the stream has been working well. It will help Betfair see how many are affected.

have you raised this at any of your meetings you have had in recent months...?

coz if you haven't then i'd suggest it should be...

thank you.

Are people really making it pay using a drone
Very difficult to see how a horse is going from a drone
I dont play in running by the way

I have been using an old PC windows 7 for Newcastle on BLV on lowest latency.

Its been absolutely fine for me, no lagging, no pauses, no black screens, good pic.

LV for Newcastle has been ok here. No pausing and no black screens.

I haven't tried changing the latency setting, but usually had it at 0 on the old stream.

Also thought the LV was about a second faster yesterday(compared to ATR) than Monday.

Using Windows 10, Firefox and Virgin 200m broadband.

As others have said, your efforts on this are much appreciated thebootman, cheers.

Sticks occasionally and black screen but mainly been workable.
Infact although it’s likely still slower comparatively speaking that the RTV its played better...which does lead the question as others have suggested on the other thread;
Where is the leak since ppl arn’t meant to be on track and somebody using a quicker feed so all eyes on the RTV production setup methinks

Mine is ok bootman the odd race can be a bit sticky.
Lets hope the RTV feed is sorted sooner rather than later but i smell it wont be happening.Hope im wrong

My experience very similar to your own Bootman - using Chrome on minimum latency - found it stuttering and did have black screen for a moment during 4th race. I then switched to Firefox again on minimum - a very slight fraction slower but quality did improve so stuck with that. As regards playability I am agreed with others that Kempton was not really an option - hopefully speed might improve!! Again many thanks Bootman for all your efforts.

On the whole it was ok. Think opinions might be slanted on it just now though as the in running played really well at Newcastle
as it is a level playing field. RTV is the big problem with their lv just now, corrupt.

Thanks for the ATR feedback so far, please keep it coming good or bad.

Hibby yes i've raised the drone issue. I think it's the one thing the industry doesn't like and want to stop.

WS - latency wise that's what ATR reckoned it would be after they changed from Flash. From timings pre lock down that felt about right, obviously nothing to compare them with at the moment.

CC - I might try my old windows 7 desktop and see if that helps.

Agree with others who say Newcastle was far more playable than Kempton.

thank you for raising the drone issue thebootman...

can't see why 'the industry' can't get to the bottom of this personally...

i think 'Vera' is out of work just now...

she'd crack this in a couple of weeks imv...

i got a couple of 'black screen pauses' early doors as they were loading up...

about half way through i got a black screen for about 2-3 seconds and then came back

it seems to me that when there is stuttering , the black screen appears as a catch up/reset of the pictures

Wait until the track players and face timers are back and we will all see how bad it is.
It's looking better just now because it's a level playing field, get what you can just now

Have had no problems whatsoever at Newcastle last 2 days. Windows 10 PC; MS Edge; Virgin Media. Just had one pause around the furlong pole in the last Yarmouth 1:20.
