Hi FatPunt, racingandsports.com could be what you are looking for, plenty of enhanced form stats and nearly all the content is free. Good luck to you.

I find racenet to be by far the most comprehensive. - for your OWN STUDY - doubt you will find anything/anywhere  else that gives 'Comments in-running' - as racenet have been doing for around the past 18 months, or so - similar to racingpost for UK.

I am NOT looking for any tips, though, that is not my style

You may have noticed - racenet recently changed the race Header/Title style to one were you have to click on the race Header to open us a drop-down with the race VALUE then displayed, aswell.

Quite why they adopted that style defies comprehension - otherwise a decent site.
-------------

https://www.racingaustralia.horse/

is also factually comprehensive - along with NO TIPS.

However - NO 'Comments in-running' - and a bit more long-winded, too

When you open a meeting up - then the Racecard gives last 5 outings beneath each horse.

If you Select 'Acceptances' from the Menu Bar across the TOP of the INITIAL Meeting -  then you get the whole Racecard in a more managable 'At-A-Glance' style.

You then have to click on each induvidual horse (as we in the UK are all used to) to open up the horse's (Recent) Form History (last 5 runs)  - and - then - for Full Lifetime History you would have to select 'All Form'

Beware - AS opposed to racenet - who changed to UK style layout around 18 months ago - racingaustraila (like practically all other Australian sites) tabulate the LATEST outing at the BOTTOM of the Horse FORM Display - and NOT at the TOP, as racenet now does - and we expect.

Had to laugh in the wee small hours watching the racing.
Aussie commentator said that the horse "was hanging like granny's tooth", made me chuckle.Grin.
Can't imagine any of our people coming out with a comment like that.
Very refreshing, unlike the stereotypes we have over here.

Generally around 6%, but can be up to 10%, dependent upon state jurisdiction.

As for cards, Racenet.com.au is different gear.
Racing Post could learn a lot from this presentation.

I have noticed a bias on the tracks that the draw is a big advantage  watching the races is helpful and horse comments are on the horses on exchange  also helpful

But you are still getting 5/1 about a Aussie 4/1 shot  -  and 10/1 about an 8/1 chance.

Same as on UK racing  ...

Yet still people  complain - and do not see the reality.
