Change to a direct debit payment then cancel it if you cant get any joy,surely they will cancel subs anyway....

Does that apply when vigin pay it in my package?

Not sure,mine is on smart TV and computer .When I tried to subscribe thro Virgin they wanted the full price so I went direct to The Racing Channel..

I doubt if it does Barry. There is no direct relationship between a Virgin subscriber and RTV. It's why we can't watch the special digital extra channels on busy days. Keep on going with Virgin as they may well offer you a deal. When I wanted BT footy a few years ago, after a bit of tooing and froing I effectively got it for free. Worth a crack....

why weren't they proactive , they should've been contacting people saying they'll suspend payments etc.

I got offered £10 a month for 4 months!

Barry, if you go to the Virgin Media website you will see a form to complete which suspends payments for all the sports channels. They won't charge you but you can still watch them.  Payments will resume when sport resumes.

I can see the form for pausing Sky Sports Channels but Racing TV is not a Sky Sports Channel. Perhaps if someone can put up the link?

Drum, I suspect there may be something eventually but RTV will have to stop charging Virgin I suspect before Virgin pass it on.

If you have a Virgin phone line you can call 150. Yes, it might take getting on for an hour but costs nothing and what else are you going to do with your time? I cancelled mine this morning.

I'm aware that Virgin have a phone number.
