Potential spreaders mean every member of the human race. The worst offenders who repeatedly flout the rules are politicians and journalists who insist on giving statements and reports in close proximity to others. Watching Mrs Sturgeon making a statement as I write. They never seem to realise that they are breaking their own rules every day.
Report Johnny_Mustang March 20, 2020 12:55 PM GMT
Bit harsh blaming journalists. We suffer enough for our art.
Report GLASGOWCALLING March 20, 2020 12:56 PM GMT
Pub here in Chester still has usual dinner time drinkers in,about 30, no coughers or sneezes, plenty of room to observe the 2 meter rule.
Report sageform March 20, 2020 1:02 PM GMT
Apologies if that is what you do but there is absolutely no reason for them to gather at press conferences or in the paddock at race meetings. They can get the same information from watching TV. Sky even had a woman reporter standing outside a school gate yesterday. Insane. I'm sure they are sent there by a producer but in that case the producer should be sacked. How on earth can they expect the public to follow the guidance when they don't?

Not in a pub but at a 'Dinner'

A New Jersey mother and her three adult children have died from coronavirus, and three more relatives are in hospital, after they had a family dinner together, according to US media.

Grace Fusco, 73, and three of her children died on Wednesday and Thursday. Three more of her children are now in hospital.

Nineteen family members are now self-isolating, according to family representative Paradiso Fodera, and have waited nearly a week to learn the results of their virus tests.
Report lord skywalker March 20, 2020 1:55 PM GMT

Report s.kenbo March 20, 2020 2:21 PM GMT
You seem to think it would be best for the whole country to self-isolate then, LS? How long for? A week, a fortnight, a month or even twelve weeks?

Everybody’s circumstances are different regarding their health. If you feel as though it would be beneficial to you not to catch it, then self-isolating would be a good idea.

I’m taking my parents out for a pub lunch on Sunday. If I had any concerns about it, then I’d cancel. They aren’t worried about it, neither am I. If their health was bad then I’d reconsider.

Fook me. A bunch of agoraphobics are making out they’re heroes for not leaving the house!!!

Today I’ve been to work. Barely had any contact with the vast majority of people there. I’ve been to the bookies and there was half a dozen in there. Popped into to the supermarket to try and get some food, there was more people than produce. My ‘selfish’ actions today have probably had no bearing on anybody. My ‘essential’ actions today could’ve infected hundreds of people, who could then infect thousands, then millions.

Geoff, thankfully we’d never know where my parents caught it, if they did indeed catch it. The odds would be pretty damned good that it wouldn’t kill them though. I know things will get worse, but 150 deaths in a population of 60 million is very small at this moment.

A major London hospital has declared a “critical incident” due to a surge in patients with coronavirus, with one senior director in the capital calling the development “petrifying”.

In a message to staff, Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow said it has no critical care capacity left and has contacted neighbouring hospitals about transferring patients who need critical care to other sites.

The message, sent last night and seen by HSJ, said: “I am writing to let you know that we have this evening declared a ‘critical incident’ in relation to our critical care capacity at Northwick Park Hospital. This is due to an increasing number of patients with Covid-19.

“This means that we currently do not have enough space for patients requiring critical care.

...A senior director at another London acute trust told HSJ: “Given we’re in the low foothills of this virus, this is f***ing petrifying.

i would imagine almost everyone even normally would like stuff delivered tho im not sure exactly what you specialize in , likely 5/10 deliveries compared to maybe one before but if theres an increase it could still pay mate , also time limit for orders to plan a cost effective route

you would have a nominal delivery charge and maybe spend requirement to justify drops that would cover part of any extra wage , also maybe slightly higher selling price as less bulk per drop

for sure tho the demand is there so all down to advertising but that's  easier now  with social media  , good luck anyway man
