Potential spreaders being anyone sitting in their dressing gown and sipping honey tea?
By:
If I see or hear anyone sweating or coughing in the pub tonight, I will leave the pub, wash my hands and go to another pub.
By:
Heard our local is closing after the weekend, probably be a total shutdown by then.
By:
total shutdown by next week certainly. Only way forward when you see the behaviour of irresponsible clowns.
By:
Dont go to the pub please dont be so stupid.
By:
Stanley Johnson and Leigh Francis aka Keith Lemon " will be out
By:
Potential spreaders mean every member of the human race. The worst offenders who repeatedly flout the rules are politicians and journalists who insist on giving statements and reports in close proximity to others. Watching Mrs Sturgeon making a statement as I write. They never seem to realise that they are breaking their own rules every day.
By:
Bit harsh blaming journalists. We suffer enough for our art.
By:
Pub here in Chester still has usual dinner time drinkers in,about 30, no coughers or sneezes, plenty of room to observe the 2 meter rule.
By:
Apologies if that is what you do but there is absolutely no reason for them to gather at press conferences or in the paddock at race meetings. They can get the same information from watching TV. Sky even had a woman reporter standing outside a school gate yesterday. Insane. I'm sure they are sent there by a producer but in that case the producer should be sacked. How on earth can they expect the public to follow the guidance when they don't?
By:
Is the "WESTMINSTER BISTRO A PUB"
By:
Was only teasing Sageform. Anyway, most of the journalists I know should be in self-isolation even when there isn't a Covid-19 pandemic going on.
By:
MPs at Westminster will be the very last people to obey the rules. They will have to be put in handcuffs and carried out of there.
By:
Correct Johnny. Relieved to know that you are not one of those craning their necks to get a TV interview recorded.
By:
And you're correct too sageform. My best mate is MP for a fabulous city down here in the south and apart from Fridays, when he has his surgeries, more or less spends every single minute in the House. Can't leave it alone.

By:
why are pubs/resturants still open, close them down and compensate them at a later date, saw 12-13 people in my local last night some people just do not care
By:
Anyone standing in a pub right now enjoying a pint with others, should really question what they are doing.
By:
This one is a bit of a shocker
- All diabetics? Not in a pub but at a 'Dinner' A New Jersey mother and her three adult children have died from coronavirus, and three more relatives are in hospital, after they had a family dinner together, according to US media. Grace Fusco, 73, and three of her children died on Wednesday and Thursday. Three more of her children are now in hospital. Nineteen family members are now self-isolating, according to family representative Paradiso Fodera, and have waited nearly a week to learn the results of their virus tests. |
By:
some people think it will never happen to them and couldnt care less about spreading it, just close pubs/resturants etc and be done with it
By:
self isolating also means not inviting loads of your family around for dinner in case anyone is in doubt about it
By:
Correct.
2 other siblings on life support. Didn't help I suppose with Trumpy calling it a 'Hoax'. |
By:
im affraid some people wont listen to sense, when the head of the country says stay away from other people it doesnt mean its time for a family gathering
By:
You seem to think it would be best for the whole country to self-isolate then, LS? How long for? A week, a fortnight, a month or even twelve weeks?
Everybody’s circumstances are different regarding their health. If you feel as though it would be beneficial to you not to catch it, then self-isolating would be a good idea. I’m taking my parents out for a pub lunch on Sunday. If I had any concerns about it, then I’d cancel. They aren’t worried about it, neither am I. If their health was bad then I’d reconsider. |
By:
I think you're wrong Kenbo but you're an adult.
Your stance just serves as a reason why pubs and the like should be closed. |
By:
Are you self-isolating then?
By:
Can see some city centres being pretty busy tonight with the young ones worried it will be last chance saloon, media no doubt will be all over it hence shutdown Monday.
By:
kenbo
how do you know you and your parents are virus free if not just infect everyone around you perhaps of course under the directives there should be no one else there so everyone reaps what they sow |
By:
no
wouldn't go near or give money to anyone still open and encouraging the spread pardon my French but these bstrds are cashing in on a crisis taking the profit from others who closed as the hight st lights flicker and go out one by one , its the last of the lights who will be remembered as the worst of the worst , closed owners and redundant staff , elderly , and responsible people all over the UK will not forget if this nation takes too long to recover shameless behaviour and before anyone says but they need cash , well join a nation in the queue for recovery together |
By:
Like it or not rightly or wrongly there's an awful lot of people out there who aren't convinced this is all its cracked on to be,hence people still going out etc,so presumably pubs restaurants forced to close next week.
By:
I would go to watch the welcome resumption in racing Glasgow, but so disgusted by the blatant fraud perpetrated in the 2.30 Dundalk, I've switched off RUK permanently, racing's crooked yes, we all know that but to be so nonchalantly blatant as that, enough!! I'm going to watch multiple Little House On The Prairie episodes instead!
By:
ribero they cant to that I don't think
due to knockon effect on insurance industry , imagine future premiums after an entire industry claims , third biggest employer in uk |
By:
"im affraid some people wont listen to sense, when the head of the country says stay away from other people it doesnt mean its time for a family gathering"
And still there are vapid voxpops with total cretins worrying about what to do for Mothers Day! Un-f******-believable! |
By:
if yer off out to the pub yer need to give yer heads a wobble and stop thinking of your own self gratification and start to think of others.
By:
towns and bouroughs should start a book on those still open on street
last to close the winner , or the most miserable money grabbing selfish profiteering barsteward |
By:
Stay at home you stupid ****s
By:
^ The voice of reason.
By:
Fair point hello but I can see plenty of young ones out tonight and having a microphone stuck in front of them at 11 o'clock giving it large.

seemingly London hospital declared crisis in cases and cant cope
meanwhile down road a few lads enjoy a bit of craik in the boozer watching for coughing with eagle eyes , unaware their carrying |
