Grand National meeting from Chester

Anyone live or stay in Chester for the Grand National,any tips like how to get to Aintree we looked at Taxis came up about £80 each way(need 5 seater) could go by train but found it very busy last few years getting train back.usually stay in Southport but a bit quiet so any bars you could recommend. Thank you
