“Why do people open accounts with these shysters?” Seriously though...who are this bunch? |
|
By:
probably because they don't know they are shysters! Advertised on oddschecker and racing post so would have hoped they were legit enough. obvioulsy not. not wanting a lecture, just wanted to know if others have had any joy in hearing from them or withdrawing any funds

summary - they have not met financial requirements to keep a licence, had payment issues due to poor funding, didn't pay man utd for sponsorship deal and got sued
To withdraw any funds you can login to your account as normal and request a withdrawal. At some point the site will close and if you still have funds, or outstanding bets, at this time you will need to contact customer support directly (solutions@moplay.com) for your money. It may take a little longer than usual, they will have a high number of withdrawal requests, but you should definitely get your money. |

'Please note that MoPlay's licence has been suspended and we cannot take any further bets or accept any other gambling activity. Due to financial difficulties, we are unable to process withdrawals. We draw your attention to clause 9 of our terms and conditions which refers to the status of funds in the event of insolvency. The terms and conditions can be accessed in the My Account section of the website. We will continue to keep you updated.'
No one ever had a chance to get their money back |

Same protection level as Matchb00k. Scandalous the GC issues license with out fund protection.
9.1 To play our games and place bets, you need to deposit funds. Your funds will be held separate from company funds in a mixture of bank accounts and reserve funds which we hold with our payment processors. However, if there was ever a situation where we became insolvent, your funds would not be considered separate to the other company assets and you may not receive all your funds back. 9.2 We hold your funds in accordance with the minimum requirement for all operators. This level of protection is decided by us and meets the requirements for the protection of customer funds at the level: not protected. 9.3 Details about the protection levels can be found online. We are required by our licence to inform you about what happens to funds we hold on account for you in the event of insolvency as set out above. The British Gambling Commission website also contains further details about customer fund protection and can be found at https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/for-the-public/Your-rights/Protection-of-customer-funds.aspx. |

and they have the cheek to ask us to prove where our funds come from
absolutely laughable |
|
By:
in fairness to matchbk they have been paying out withdrawals so far, moplay look unlikely to return. I think their financial position should have been made clearer so that new punters were aware, they were still able to do sign ups and deposits despite already giving signals they were in trouble

Some poor reviews for Moplay on Trustpilot last year, mostly about withdrawing money. Not much different though to the more established online bookmakers, caveat emptor.
