i got the same email as onlooker tonight.....i have no idea what i'm supposed to do Confused

I used to average a loss of around £350 year on year (on a turnover of about £500 per week) so gambling was just a fun thing to do.

However, I am now early retired and taking it more seriously.

Have made £500 on 10K turnover in the last two months - regular bets, no sudden large win, all a steady rate of increase. This may well just be luck (hopefully notHappy) but.....

I bet to a percentage of bank so if wins do /were to get exponentially bigger then what option should i choose please?

Cheers,
Mad.

if youre not interested in cash race, sportsbook dont take bets anyway , so the 2% basic is a no brainer to most

Tiny, the way you are talking you think they simply take the amount of comm you’ve paid, divide it by your gross profit, multiply by 100 to work out the % and then minus it from (40) and then work out what that figure of gross is due

They don’t do that, go and read the terms, you clearly ain’t much of a PC payer as it is since you still have an allowance

just one thing if anyone thinking of the 8% offer with 10% back on losses, it doesnt say on the promo the max refund is £100

Do the math.

i'm just slightly sceptical as mentioned earlier in the thread, betfair never do anything that doesn't work in their interests, so i need to sit down and work it out but it's also a question re what comes next and where does each of these options leave you when that next arrives

Total charges is not what you've actually paid to betfair
Total charges = Commission generated + pc paid
Commission generated = Half of your commission winnings + implied commission

So it's better to pay lower commission in the first place rather than be credited only half of it in "total charges"

Only mugs here are ppl advising pc payers to choose the 2%, not only are you lowering your implied commission, It won't make a blind bit of difference to th pc taken on a Wednesday.

Advice here given by "mugs" - non pc payers who haven't a clue.

If you're a mug punter the 2% is the way to go.

Otherwise if you're consistently profitable PC payer 8% is the only way...

I don't know why we are arguing with him let him go for 8% and this happens next week

He wins £1500 and loses £1000

on 8% paying £120 commis on his win

betfair calc his paid commish as 120 + 30 /2 or £75  so he has to pay another £25 prem charge that's total of £145

on 2% he pays £30 betfair calc his commish as 30 + 30 / 2 = 30 plus 70 prem charge = £100

Does this affect in any way shape or form the amount i pay on a Wednesday??? NO

Don't know why i'm arguing with you, non of you ate in position for this to matter anyway.

Dusty, you're a fool pal.

You've never paid pc in your life, and you're strutting around as if you know it all.

You haven't a clue what you're on about.

Pc payers will know the better deal.

As for Tiny stay behind after school

Come on mate, you can do better than that, don't consistently let yourself down.

@The Management, my concern would be that the relevant period for calculating whether one is eligible for PC becomes e.g. a month rather than a lifetime.

I've built up a considerable buffer of losses on here with multiple wins with sportsbook.

Still, my win/loss ratio wouldn't qualify me for pc anyway. It looks like 2% is good for me.

in the.. Terms and Conditions

You will receive the same package, each month, until further notice.

Close your Betfair account if it considers there is sufficient evidence of abuse of this promotion,

Sounds like this is just some sort of temporary promotion which could only last a few months.

tiny doesn't know that the commission that betfair use to calc the premium charge is not the same as the commission actually paid.

If tiny on 8% just wins £1000 he will end up paying £240 commission 80 plus 160 prem charge

tiny on 2% pays £210 in total 20 plus 19 prem charge
