Don't know for sure but I would be gobsmacked if that was true.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, They tend to keep everything entire just in case it turns out to be capable even if it means ruining the horse so it'd make sense that once they accept defeat they'd make sure no one else gets to make the horse decent and worthy of being a good stallion.

2. Which horse went on to achieve the highest rating after leaving Godolphin?

I must admit, I don't know the answers, but if someone does, we could then check to see if or not they were sold after being gelded!

They used to sell plenty of colts in the first decade but few subsequently.

Still toying with the idea of Longchamp but have to be in Newmarket first thing Monday am.

Just checked nearest sales catalogue to hand ( tatts horses in training 2015 ), They put 9 through the sale, 4 fillies, 5 geldings.
I'll check a few more later.

I vaguely remember one that hadn't done much for SBS, but then started winning for MJ and was subsequently returned to SBS, but the name escapes me Might have ended up a St Leger contender

Tropics nearly won Group 1 races for Dean Ivory. One of the better recent ones.

Having been a regular at Doncaster and Ascot sales I can guarantee that there are plenty of unraced horses from Godolphin that go through the sales ring that are still colts.

The best unrcaed horse to have been sold at public auction, although not under the Godolphin banner, but through Shadwell Stud was Makfi for 26,000. I assume they operate similarly.
