Due 35mm of rain in the last 24 hours, with a further 10-15mm forecast within the next 2 hours the racing surface is now unsustainable therefore the race meeting has now been abandoned.

Shame was going......... Always love this meeting....... Seeing all the boys from SCOBA.. (Stoke city old Boys association).. And this was to be the first running of the Gordon Banks memorial Chase.... A lot of work had gone into the and Geoff Hurst was to be guest of honour.... A great shame

totally ridiculous the number of meetings lately. Who can cope with eight in a day and not even a Bank Holiday.
