big horses with small feet?
Report mouse muldoon June 13, 2019 3:49 PM BST
Small ones with shoes like tennis rackets.

I think the actual weight of big horses pushes them further into the turf and makes it harder work for them, whereas a lighter horse seems to skip through it, like a hovercraft!Laugh

Phil Bull had that idea. Narrow types that didn't sink in. I would guess that's not always the case if the horse also has small feet.

A good example would be Moon King ( Haydock , yesterday )

All about the horses action, wouldn't be backing a daisy cutter on heavy ground, whether it was a small or big horse.
Report howard June 13, 2019 4:37 PM BST
yeah it's a mix koi.
Report howard June 13, 2019 4:48 PM BST
Sapa Inca I thought fitted the description before the race ( honest ! ) But as said the horses action all-important.
Report Hugo-Hackenbush June 13, 2026 5:31 PM BST
