My box gets switched off on the 28th as I'm sick to my back teeth of the continual price rises. I'm paying 38 quid at present to watch Sky racing and enquired about the new £22 package to make sure I would still get SKY racing.
I was offered the basic package for thirteen pounds a month with a tenner set up fee. Hard to believe but true. I may reconsider after the 28th but as long as Betfair video
is in good nick I don't need Sky. It's not the price that broke the camels back it was the continuous price increase every 4-6 month.
No way they are going to take the piss but £13 seems fair with the new Sky racing being on channel 888.
It's called principle tangle. I have the cheapest mobile phone deal in the UK. Unlimited calls and texts....£6 per month from BT.
Of course you wont see that advertised but with my special deals number you'd be surprised at what's on offer. 01324 452504.

I have a £5 per month deal with Giff Gaff. 150 minutes of calls to non Giff Gaff numbers, and 500 texts, which is far more than I need, but I only got a cheap mobile when 'forced to' because of all my health issues. Last month I used 18 minutes, plus 1 text message, so hardly your average user lol

I've just given up Sky too. I was paying about 42 quid a month then they jacked it up to 70 so I pulled the plug. I really don't miss it. If I get desperate I can always use Now TV for a daily fee. As a football fan, I would also need BT Sport but I get that for £2.50 a month with my Plusnet mobile account. With BBC iPlayer and Netflix, Sky have a lot of competition and their days of charging anything from £40 to £70 a month are over for me. Never really liked them anyway...

I gave up my sky sports when they lost the Champions league and the speedway. Still paid £40 a month after that and like you got fed up with the price rises. Phoned them up and got the £22 a month deal so you done well to get £13 I did piss the girl off a bit cos it had taken me 2 days to get through to talk to anyone and then she wanted to charge me £5 fee for changing the deal and I said after 2 days trying to get through and wasting my time its cheeky for you to ask me for a £5. In the end I had to pay it or she wouldn't switch me and if I had left all together not sure what I'd have been left with regarding channels as I've only got the sky dish to receive signals
I've got netflix now for £8 so the wifes happy and I can leave her watching a film and play the aw night meetings in peace!

Just to clarify, that £13 deal was only valid for today. (pressurising) I said I would phone back if I did want to take up the offer but no guarantee it will still be valid although the bloke put in my notes.

I don't have a mobile phone full stop, if anyone wants to show me a picture of the roast potatoes they are having for tea they'll have to wait until they see me.
Couldn't do without my P.C. admittedly but thaong with my telly and I'm fine.
Incidentally, I pay £13 for the basic package now, 7 years later.
