agree, strange ride . and to agree with above comment from acey deucy coming to last looked as though winner had just joined the race. after elegant escape yesterday couldnt back a tizzard hoss with counterfeit.

As per usual this comment. Where did I say he would have? But before the race he was more a guaranteed stayer than the winner was, but was ridden as though he wasn't. The 'he wouldn't have won anywsy' line that's so often used on here is no excuse for a poor ride. Hopefully he's more awake on Politologue in the next.

What's done is done but tracking a faster horse to try beat it for speed on a stayer was the problem. Even if the horse was 'flat'(a go to excuse imop by the jockey and one used by 99% of losing jockeys after Cheltenham), the tactic outlined above was wrong and they know it.
