So called big galloping Gold Cup horse. Held up and was last 4 out on a flat track. Head scratching. Of course Cheltenham will be at the ready as the excuse.

Indeed. But was still being held up out the back whether he made those mistakes or not.

Had £50 @ Evens on Topofthegame and successfully cashed out in running for 97 pence profit.

As per usual this comment. Where did I say he would have? But before the race he was more a guaranteed stayer than the winner was, but was ridden as though he wasn't. The 'he wouldn't have won anywsy' line that's so often used on here is no excuse for a poor ride. Hopefully he's more awake on Politologue in the next.

I stick by Presenting Percy. Everything went wrong for him at Cheltenham. Interrupted preparation, saddle slipped and finished lame. I have bet him ante-post and will continue to do so. Good luck!

I'd Be amazed if Lost in translation is aimed at the Gold Cup, he is every inch a Ryanair Candidate.

The Nichols horse is more a Gold Cup contender, whether he has enough class i'm unsure.

Did Topofthegame not just run flat? Cobden was tracking the winner throughout most of the race but was outpaced from the end of the back straight before staying on again late on

What's done is done but tracking a faster horse to try beat it for speed on a stayer was the problem. Even if the horse was 'flat'(a go to excuse imop by the jockey and one used by 99% of losing jockeys after Cheltenham), the tactic outlined above was wrong and they know it.

The horse doesn't seem to win as many races as he should do.

First time and the last time I will be backing the horse yesterday disappointing run.
