They need to virtually throw bricks at the other horses (over the jumps) to get a reverse!!

not even sure why they called a stewards...you'd think they'd watch the hd on before calling one.
|

Note:
The price of the horse PRE the race.......has a massive bearing on the stewards...........plenty happy to lay off a 27 shot at 3 and plenty of layers scar ed enough to take odds on a fav in a stewards if it was to be reversed. When you have some cash at stake in a race........ many will do what they think is right and will take what THEY think is value. As a pro gambler I used to speak with at the call centre where i took his bets........and I learned long ago........ "You can spend cash, you can spend on a credit card card too..............but you can't spend 'value' " |

Interesting that the market didn't suspend when the photo result was called, cuz it was noticeable that it seemed to take an age for the photo market to open in the first place.
Was there a rep on course? |

Whats the difference between bf handing out warnings for people who backed the winner of markets when the result was heard on tv and bf didnt suspend...
and those that hammered into the market when hearing the result on course and bf not suspend? Didnt those that got a warning last time get told if they did it again their accounts would be closed? |
|
By:
Seems to be a change of policy. There was a race last week (I think) where there was a late suspend, and Betfair simply cancelled all the bets placed after the result had been announced.
You would have thought those supposed propunters on-course would have been aware of that fact, before loading their guns and blasting themselves in the foot. |

I'm surprised more hasn't been made of Willie's revelation.
Must be a bummer to try & reduce your liabilities by laying at higher prices only for the back bet to then be voided. |

I know, but we're all adults here so pity was not my sentiment in my earlier post.

I think the reason there was little comment on Willie's scoop was that one or two people might have read that story, felt their bowels loosen, and thought, "There, but for the grace of God, go I."
Or, at least, "Thank the Lord I haven't been able to get a place in a box at Plumpton." And then just given a shiver and moved swiftly on. |
