Most going 7/2 - 100/30. Sydney Paget
It was closing down Ucello Conti at the finish when they met in a p2p last month, that was its 1st run for a while so you would expect it to come on for the run.

The same applied to Ucello Conti regarding its 1st run for a while, but it didn't look good when it ran next time in an average hunter, where it would have been questionable whether it would have won had the faller at the last stayed on its feet....
I don't think it's anywhere near the horse it was It would be no surprise it Sydney turned the form around.

Thanks.

I shall be having a look at them in the paddock Koi, I was thinking the same at Thurles the other day that it was a lucky winner. Its overall form is outstanding though , and Sydney has nothing to compere. Its my nap of the day so I'm hoping it has come on for the Thurles run...

UCELLO CONTI wasn't anywhere near his best when scoring on hunter chase debut at Thurles last month, yet it would come as no surprise to see him improve from that effort and he can come out on top again with bigger targets ahead.

always thought conti,s best runs were on knee deep muddy ground, heavy to unraceable

Grans run by the 14 year old legend Salsify , I thought Sydney Paget was supposed to be good ?
Report chavman February 17, 2019 4:51 PM GMT
best stick to the odds on favs koi,far easier to dispel it as a blip
Report chavman February 17, 2019 4:53 PM GMT
although to your credit the 18 odds on tips in hunter chases that won was admirable.
Report jmdc February 17, 2019 5:42 PM GMT
With all due respect, koi knows as much as you and I with regard to Irish Hunter Chases. I believe his last winning Irish tip was Salsify at Punchestown.

No consolation now but this was posted elsewhere earlier, before the race..

If you knew Sydney has missed training for 2 of the last 4 weeks you would not be taking any price about him.
Report chavman February 17, 2019 5:52 PM GMT
with all due respect, koi knows more about kinetic nuclear rocket propulsion systems than he does about irish hunter chases

Report bevis February 18, 2019 10:31 AM GMT
he was right about the post on another site , a irish hunter chase judge stuck it up well in advance horse had missed work

Those were the days mightymac. What did he rack up, about 35 wins?

These days the sport is in such a dire state if you get three wins you are favourite for the Foxhunters. No wonder Nicholls started targeting the races. Pitiful stuff.

Talking of Irish pointers.

Koi, do you have a view on KRUZHLININ in the foxhunters?  I backed it for the race before its Irish rules start.  The horse is best when going from the front imo, so I wasn't that disappointed that day.   I think it would go their with an brilliant chance but looks like the Rooney's decision to boycott Cheltenham means I have done my dough.   Now expect to see it line up at Aintree ( and win!)

Credit Call was owned by Chris Collins and trained by Arthur Stephenson as you know.

Won 37 races including:

3 Aintree Foxhunters

1 Cheltenham Foxhunter

4 Horse and Hound Cups

Those were the days, lol.
Report Swardean February 21, 2019 3:30 PM GMT
Perhaps I spoke too soon about KRUZHLININ.  The Rooney announcement today means he could still go to Cheltenham and I could get a run for my money.   Declarations close on Tuesday.   Think it has a hell of a chance.

Koi differs from your opinion but good luck.

Is that the same Chris Collins who won the Pardubice on Stephens Society ?
Report differentdrum February 21, 2019 5:26 PM GMT
Yes, and I believe he was the chap who sold on Titus Oates.
Report workrider February 22, 2019 12:07 PM GMT
Titus Oates now there's a memory, I loved that horse, Collins was the man to follow in those races. Credit Call 37 races wow...
