Never looked like getting beat, so was hardly going to drift in running. Good position from the off.

The horse has had 2 runs for us since coming from Ireland and won both of them. So anyone thinking we've got it handicapped is barking up the wrong tree.

The ownership is not identical, but there is a fair bit of overlap between the two syndicates.
In fairness to the Irish handicapper the horse ran in handicaps off 60, 58, 56 and 52 and didn't finish in the first 8. Entitled to be dropped but we thought the horse had shown previous ability and wasn't a lost cause.
Great training performance by Tracey Collins to keep that out of the frame for 7 races.

Reason i asked BB is that Dixon brothers get a lot of stick on here but was refreshing to listen to Martin recently on Friday night Racing TV equivalent of Get In talking as a punter and giving an insight into "the other side of the fence" as it were
Mick thought the horse wasn't very fit when he arrived and had a few minor niggles that needed a bit of time. Horse had more about him phyiscally than most horses of that rating and if you look at videos of his early runs he definitely showed up well enough in maidens to suggest he should have been better than a 45 horse. So the raw ability was already there. Sometimes it can be coaxed back, sometimes it can't. Why he fared so poorly in 2018 I wouldn't know.
some suggest it was deliberate to get its mark down,if that was the case then the previous trainer would have had a touch with it,so maybe it wasnt deliberate,ok gl with it in future.
It would be an odd move indeed to deliberately run a horse down the weights and then sell it fairly cheaply. So I would assume that wasn't the case.
If you get it up into the 80s Dom's father in law might be interested.

He's well capable of winning from 58. Would have prefered a higher draw but would be disappointed if he got beat.
Have to say i thought the draw may be a negative but they do seem to win from all over, if he's good enough shouldn't stop him, good luck BB.

Found my EW against it, Black Hambleton, his 4th lto has worked out exceptionally well.
horse does still look fairly treated, but up in class as well as the 13lb, assuming they dont change the tactics and make the running i'd be surprised if it didnt trade bigger IR than the current odds of 0.75/1
We won't go out of our way to make the running given it isn't the easiest course to do it. I'd be happy if there were a couple of established front runners to track though. If I was happy with the draw and pace set up I'd say he's a good thing. Just a bit wary of the possiblity of a messy race/being drawn in the wrong place so won't be piling on him.
Just hope Jamie Lynch doesn't rate it.

I wouldn't have thought he would go off much bigger than he is now but there would be plenty of people who follow class 6 AW races closer than I do.

Hacked up. Didn't really expect him to make all but nothing good enough to give him a lead. Good job we have him entered up 3 times in the next week as the handicapper will take a swipe now.

Not sure I can add much beyond the obvious. He's clearly going to win if he is in the same form as he was on Friday and he came out of the race fine so he ought to go in again. Will be priced accordingly though.
