Officially 13lb well in, I can't see it winning off 58 myself. Win was an apprentice race which can throw up exaggerated distances, also it's never run here, it's an odd track.

At that track I wouldn’t back a group horse if it were to run against the same bunch of horses.

One of the owners here. I think he will win races off 58 without any trouble at all. He should win today from a handicapping perspective, the completely different track being our one concern. I'm not piling in at 1-2 but will be disappointed if he is turned over.

Regarding the reason he is running on this track today for those interested, the plan was to run without a penalty at Wolverhampton yesterday but because of his rating and a large entry for the race he got ballotted out.

Track has to be the one issue. Results so often hard to fathom, at least for me anyway! Good luck to Barton Bank and the rest of the owners though.

Spot on. If I had to pick one all-weather track I would be wary of taking a short price about the clear form pick it would be Gosforth Park.

You guys must be coining it in laying shorties at Newcastle then.

I'm not averse to laying shorties there. Wouldn't do it blind.

if you think it'll win off 58 it should be 1/10 today.

Should do, but looks as if the 2nd to it Amor Fati had a bad run that day and may have finished a fair bit closer than 6 lengths, the 3rd Tellovoi btn 8 lengths was over 6 lengths behind the 2nd the time before and Amor Fati has been btn since off same mark. Some of these certs don't look so good 2nd time up, well remember a horse of John Butlers hosing up 1st time out for him in a C7 at 11/10 and looked a good thing to follow up nto but got beaten over 3 lengths over same C/D at 8/13 had gone up 13lbs mind.Grin

Certainly is, especially when they are really short and racing for 2k.
I've had a small bet on Harbour Patrol EW.
