I’m a massive fan of Ruby but he got that massively wrong from start to finish....
By:
He's looked **** since he came back.
By:
Horse shudda been pulled up....as indeed should ruby as he’s betting poison!!!

Last obstacle Ruby...LEGEND. Dont slag him off to much or you will be in the next Paddy Power advert. On this occasion
not his fault, horse was not jumping well. However, would love to see his stats against other jockeys, and see the ratio of rides to last obstacle falls. |
By:
if he was alot closer to the winner at the last he wouldnt of had to put so much pressure on the horse to jump the last well shocker
By:
His confidence has been shot by too many injuries lately, Townend has to be number 1 till Ruby starts to show more confidence, but wont happen.
By:
age & injuries catch up with them all eventually
By:
Footpad jumped immaculately on his 1st 3 races over fences .Ruby wasnt onboard on any occassion.
Despite winning the Arkle he made a complete horlicks of 1 or 2. |
By:
Townend not up to job either-have U forgotten???
Keep ruby there please as he’s a joke at the minute and looks like it too! Shot to pieces and he knows it!!! He deserves it for all the arrogant **** he’s spouted over the years |
By:
any jockey competent at judging pace would have won on footpad in the arkle...pace completely collapsed in front of him
By:

This is from 10 years ago when the armchair jocks on here reckoned that the 'greatest jockey of all time' was at his peak. Like Donald Trump (they probably admire him too) there will be cries of Fake News. Never believe experts or statistics. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2008/dec/04/horse-racing-jumps-falls-unseateds |

kevin blake did an interesting statistical study on ruby about a year ago
well worth digging out for a read for anybody who is interested |
By:
IMO over the last 2 years I would not back him, unless I put a lay up, as I expect more times than not, to see him come down
at the last. |
By:
Im guessing most of you were Annie Power Backers
By:
He looks bang average these days. That's what happens with too many injuries and older age. U cannot reverse these variables. Better to go out at the top instead of hanging on and look like most of the other ordinary jockeys

"if he was alot closer to the winner at the last he wouldnt of had to put so much pressure on the horse to jump the last well shocker"
Apart from "wouldnt of" (sic), agree with that. So often he has to go big or long (ooh missus) at the last because instead of putting the race to bed, he holds and holds and looks to win it late on or on the run-in, or so it seems. |
By:
If you are doing nothing wrong then coincidences don't happen that often. He might be the most arrogant man in the weighing room but that would dent anyone's confidence.
He had that race won. It was actually a poor ride from Mark Walsh in allowing the favourite 4-5 lengths easy lead throughout the race. He got lucky. |
By:
The jockey that keeps on giving.
By:
Did all Mark Walsh's today in a multiple. Have to say he would've finished second there. That Saldier looks a bit of a monster. Hope the horse is ok.
By:
After it's fall they should have kept Footpad away from Saldier. It complained like hell to Saldier and filled it with fear.
By:
When will Mullins give the job to Bryony? Awesome there on Capeland.
By:
If the horse can feel a confident jockey and run for them, then the reverse must be the same effect.
One more Chelters if he is in one piece...........then retirement. |
