They certainly have!

But I digress, 2.30 Sedgefield, do you think they've brought him over for the benefit of his health?

I thought he was a sound odds-on chance, but the market begs to differ!

No matter, he's 8 lbs clear on my ratings and that's good enough for me, Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee!

I've just gone with Sonic for my nap - of course I should have read your thread first--100 lines to write--"check with Skinto first" Shocked

I actually agree with Norfolk about this one. Nearly put it up as my Nap last night but, like him,I assumed it would be odds-on and for the moment I am avoiding such shorties.

Thought that myself, these days jockeys keep going especially if there's only two to jump.

A short priced fave's jokie losing his irons eh. OUTRAGEOUS! If they didn't bring them oarsies over for the Sedgefield air, Shirley the trainer's orsie will win the 3.35 or it could be a double lay coup!

to be honest sometimes its really questionable the value in jumps of a 7 or 10lb claimer - so much is about race rding, presenting horse at fence or hurdle and pace and position

Didn't look good did it. Eben Mick Fitzgerald was more or less saying he should have kept going.

"The Stewarts carried out an inquiry into the running of Thosedaysaregone in the 2.30 at Sedgefield and asked what does a punter expect in a sport where money is involved. They found no difference in this race to any other race and stated it is now time for a bit of tiffin before the next race".

Race 2 - 2:30pm
THE bet365 NOVICES' HURDLE RACE (CLASS 4)

Approaching the bend out of the back straight, the saddle slipped on THOSEDAYSAREGONE (IRE), causing the rider to lose his irons and whilst trying to pull up, caused interference to MAJOR MINUS, unplaced, and in turn REGARDE MOI, unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Due to Charles Byrnes's excellent past record, the stewards decided to take no further action.

Purcell was a central figure in a sensational outcome to division one of the bumper where trainer Charles Byrnes saddled the first two home. The race was won by Byrnes' Alpha Royale (7/1) under a strong ride from Martin Ferris but that was completely overshadowed by the ride from Purcell on the second placed Laetitia, which was unfancied at 14/1.

Purcell sat motionless on Laetitia for much of the home straight and although the rider's second crack of the whip inside the final furlong did connect, the rider appeared to do insufficient to help his mount close home, allowing Alpha Royale to win by a length.
