Completely agree. An utter farce and just not good enough. The kindest word you could use to describe those jockeys is incompetent.

They weren't even pushing to close between the 6f to 4f pole.

Staggering scenes.

no surprise to see who was involved - egan, spencer, havlin etc
Report Barton Bank • September 22, 2018 4:12 PM BST
If that had happened in a 3 grand race I would have assumed it was fixed tbh. Particularly when the winner was so strong in the market.

The same old names surprise surprise...

Just watched it ,rabbit in headlights mentality.

Memories of Tom Sharp winning the Ces in this manner.

Cosgrave does his pals a nice favour.

Race 4 - 3:55pm
THE PANTILE STUD CESAREWITCH TRIAL HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 2)

Following the race, Jamie Spencer reported that HANDIWORK, unplaced, became tired in the latter stages of the race and Pat Cosgrave reported that, although winning the race, STARS OVER THE SEA (USA) ran too free in the early stages, resulting in the gelding initially racing quicker than he would have liked.

that means they didnt even ask any questions.

did he report this one yest, got beat a distance

Led until over 1f out, soon dropped out, well behind and eased towards finish

Wonder out of interest, what was the in-running pricing, did the market think this one would tire/get beat?
Report posy • September 23, 2018 9:19 AM BST
Nothing else went under 5 in running
Report stu • September 23, 2018 9:28 AM BST
So it went odds on and stayed there for the whole race? (didn't see the market at time)
Report stu • September 23, 2018 9:30 AM BST
Any flickers of doubt I wonder in the pricing IR
