Hollie knew how to get him beaten. Give him nearly enough room on the inner but not quite.

His main error was in the first 50 yds. - then he just compounded it and compounded it - the beast should have won 2 lengths +.

The lack of urgency in the first furlong is the downfall of many a flat jockey.

Hollie Doyle left a gap up the rail when they swung for home that Gray should have been in instantly.  Thats were the the race was lost. He probably thought he had enough time to go around and pass the leader but got that woefully wrong.  Terrible ride.  2nd horse should have won snugly.

Might have won with Lennie on Ek , shirley two much weight the 2 of them ?
