Some bizarre comments here.As one said `whats the point of a clean account unless you win from it'.Seems people on here prefer a losing `clean' account lol.The idea is the `pro' puts up he wants to bet something at 5/1 for £500.Say 20 punters can get £25 on each then happy days.Could work to a certain extent, although 3% on all turnover is laughable.

.....And then the next time those 20 punters try to do the same, 19 of them find out they have either been closed or restricted to £1.34.

Dream on.

Laugh Yeah a pony on a 5/1 not allowed. Have to be 6/4 for big money like that.

And then not backed from 9/4.

Nice idea in theory, but the whole thing is reliant on enough punter with losing accounts signing up. The problems I see with this:

A) These losing accounts will quickly be restricted by the bookmakers once enough winning bets are placed on them.
B) Not enough losing punters will sign up. There are so many punters out there who simply don't care if they are losing or they fool themselves into believing they are in front. There is a reason why the MAJORITY of punters don't keep track of their bets, stakes & P/L figures.

Not only that but many punters are frightened of winning anyway. Consistent winning would put pressure on to raise stakes/play up winnings. Most are more comfortable losing.

If this business idea was on Dragons Den it would be one of those 'Stop now, don't spend another penny on this, you clearly haven't thought it through - I'M OUT' moments...

I assume there must be something to stop Billy saying I'm not interested in the bet and then going to place it anyway just for himself.
Are you contractually obliged to place or lay the bet once you open the advice and your account will be docked accordingly?

It sounds very iffy to me.

Correct, plus you can simply note that almost all losing punters are extrememly unsophisticated in their betting, hardly the type scouting out these novel and great 'opportunities'.

Just wondering how the implementation of rule 4 (reduction factors) would work out, different firms have different prices and hence different rule 4 deductions up until the course market is formed.

It seems it's hard enough to get your average losing punter to even use a simple betting exchange (e.g. here) - they aren't that interested in online and complex ways to bet IMO.

True but there are plenty of losing punters on Betfair Stu although  obviously very few forumites.

Might work in shops though. Semi educated punter looking to get his card marked and following in a score a time or so. How sh*t scared the shops become is a matter of conjecture..do they start banning sub £25 punters or just anyone who backs horses. If its the latter then the game is over for good.
