BETDISCONNECT.

Trying to see a way that the so called 'pros' could groom/manipulate the 'punters'.
By:
Just been looking at the website. Is it actually up and running ?...….what thoughts have people got on this ?

not sure , but it might just be an app on your phone
![]() "betconnect , winners welcome" , sounds familiar |
By:
The pros will eat the recreationals for breakfast.
By:
Gimmi a Richie on toast please and a cup of earl grey
By:
it seems to revolve around the 'pros' requesting prices and the site flagging up which bookies these prices may be available from, ie punters who can get bets on facilitating those who cant ?
By:
So if you follow someone and do well how are you going to get your bets on with a bookmaker ?
By:
Despite there being some stiff competition over the years this has to be the most stupid idea ever.
Betconnect will not see xmas 2019. |
By:
The 'pros' could be impersonating high street bookies in the same way as the bots ie traders, doing here. If the recreationals lay to the 'pros' how could they then pale a back bet with the bookies esp if the bookies are in cahoot with/impersonating the 'pros'. And, no mention about their commission fee, cannot be free, can it?

12.1. We will charge a commission on all Bet Requests placed on the site at the rate set out in paragraph 12.2 below (“Commission”).
12.2.Subject to paragraph 12.3, Commission shall be charged to the Professional at the following rates: (a) if the Bet Request is placed at evens, 3% of the total amount of all Bet Proportions which have been laid by Customers in respect to that Bet Request; (b) if the Bet Request is placed at less than evens (i.e. “odds on”), 3% of any potential Winnings (whether or not Winnings are paid) Only "professionals" are allowed to request bets (at prices that are freely available with the bookmakers)and are charged 3% on every bet win or lose !!!!!!!!!!! 8.2.14 Once a Bet Request has been placed on the site it cannot be withdrawn by the Professional, other than with the authorisation of betconnect, or by using the “Stop Bet” feature on the site. If the Professional chooses to implement the “Stop Bet” feature (“Stop Bet Request”) the Bet Request will be suspended at the time at which betconnect receives the request from the Professional. Following receipt of the Stop Bet Request from a Professional, betconnect shall not release any further Bet Notifications to Customers. Any Bet Notifications which have been sent to Customers prior to the receipt of the Stop Bet Request will remain live and liable to be laid by Customers. This means that there will be a period of approximately 15 minutes between the time when betconnect receives the Stop Bet Request to the time at which Customers can no longer lay a bet which has been sent to them in a Bet Notification, and any Bet Proportions laid in that time shall be treated in the same manner as any other Bet Proportions which have been laid by a Customer. A Stop Bet Request will not affect any Bet Proportions which have already been laid by a Customer prior to the Stop Bet Request, which shall continue in full force and effect. LOL --just f*cking crazy. My earlier post was far too kind. |

Is Nevison involved?
By:
Am I missing something here? This appears to be saying "if you have a non restricted account, follow someone who can't get bets on so you too can have a restricted account after a very short period of time."
By:
pretty much sums it up

WE GET YOU ON LTD |

Billy is following the pro one minute because he is clueless himself, but another time is laying the pros bet because he doesnt fancy it
Billy has a low IQ, nap! |
By:
The professional punter will just use the exchanges which are bigger than the bookmakers. The social punter has to leave the site and place the bets manually. Sounds doomed.
By:
Let's hope only the pros use it and stay there too, and not fish on the recreational pond muddying the water and creating ambiguity which can lead to restriction and/or closure of one's account; a saunter into the pros pool for anyone deemed savvy and/or sufficiently sophisticated if he/she so wishes, and good luck to them.
By:
how are they classed as being a pro punter,is it just if you have had accounts closed, which anyone who puts on more than £20 bets would have a few of those
By:
That struck me as well GAZO. It looks like another betting exchange where only a minority can set the prices. Either that or it is intending to act as a middleman for people with tipping services on the lines of booking.com or confused.com.
By:
This is a joke Shirley , parasites preying on clean accounts which will become unclean pretty damm soon.
By:
It sounds like a load of shiite really, it won’t be any good to either side. As for a clean account, what good is a clean account to anyone who is incapable of winning?, they may as well lose the damn thing , as if they do , at least for them, it’s a losing avenue closed.
By:
yes, bookies will quickly catch on to the change in betting patterns on the accounts. Even if the first few pro punter bets don't win the bookies will see a dramatic change in betting pattern. Instead of say a few £5 footy accas a punter is suddenly putting £100+ on horses as the prices collapse, win or lose they will smell a rat

By:
Just another bunch of con merchants in an already crowded marketplace.
By:
A business model that is 100 percent dependent on the compliance of so called bookmakers LOL.
By:
its not something to do with patrick vietch is it,when reading his book he always seemed to be on the look out for clean accounts
By:
Who is behind the other members article in the Post saying "once exchanges came into the game they totally ruined everything"?
By:
Professional asks for 3/1 and Billy has the option of waiting to see if the industry price goes to 7/2 before deciding to accept, the professional has no way
of stopping him. |
By:
Pro will be happy to get big money on at 3/1 if he's any good. And most times price will go other way.

Barry Dennis howard.
Bookmakers have been/are a much bigger cancer on the sport. |
By:
Funny how bookmakers have never thought of taking more bets.

Who's this smug git they are interviewing on RUK?

By:
Ah he was from Smarkets!

Some bizarre comments here.
As one said `whats the point of a clean account unless you win from it'. Seems people on here prefer a losing `clean' account lol. The idea is the `pro' puts up he wants to bet something at 5/1 for £500. Say 20 punters can get £25 on each then happy days. Could work to a certain extent, although 3% on all turnover is laughable. |
