Usually won by one of the first four in the betting and won by STRATUM last year, ZERO TEN represents Emmet Mullins up against some very good trainers ...W P Mullins brings SUINDA and THRONES GAME to the table, Gordon Elliot has STEEL CAP . ZERO TEN won at Galway on Good, relished the going lumping 12 stone around for two miles, very strong type that looked very strong in the finish that day.SUINDA is owned by Luke Mcmahon (Whiskey Sour, Uradel) and knows the score around here, he has Aubrey up but the horse didn't take to the hill last month. THRONES GAME might well be a class above this lot , but wont be carrying my money first time round Galway (massive difference between Mosse round Deauville and Townend round Ballybrit), a place beckons at best. The Elliot horse is a nice price at 17/1 (EW) but if Davy won there would be no surprise. I'd rather punt Noel Meades RoseRiver Hi 4/1 will be OK , on account of the fact Mullins ones will be too short thus no value, ZERO TEN too short at 11/2 (would want 8/1 EW) and the gelding is a streetfighter who has been about and loves this going.
Townsend chickened out of the battle at least twice tonight Its hard to read sometimes but not tonight , and now you don't know if that pair of Willies are any good now I know Galway is a tough place and you can destroy horses up the hill but it was too obvious tonight
Obrien does a similar thing on the flat , wont give them a hard debut and you can often read it , but second time around they are still well backed , pi55 in but because you arent quite sure , you don't go max You can read it and you can profit from it ...but I wonder how the owners feel Rather than put a run into them on dodgy ground, tough course ....surely they just need to be more patient

Big fan of Paul's but he doesn't seem half the jockey he was before the **** up last season. He doesn't even look like Paul Townend on the horse. Also, so many of these Mullins novices have looked as though they'd never seen a hurdle until their racecourse appearances. Not sure what's going on but if it was any other trainer you'd say they haven't been schooled.
