Think Haggas horse has a great chance in this 5fs sprint. Muthmir has travelled to France to race 4 times before in his career and has won the Grande Chene G2 twice ran over 5fs on G/S, a 3rd in the G1 Abbeye and this year a 4th in the G3 Prix de Saint George over 5fs here in May. That was his 1st run of the season on Good ground and started just over 9/4 fav and btn just over 2 lengths by the race fit City Lights(3rd run), has a 5 lbs pull with that horse today. Don't think Muthmir was 100% wound up that day judged by the 2nd and 3rd San Cesio and Gold Vibe subsequently finishing 1st and 3rd in a listed race at Maissons Lafitte, following Gold Vibe being btn 2 1/2 lgths by Finsbury Square in the Grand Chene. Neither Finsbury Square, Gold Vibe or Signs of Blessing could get in a blow behind runaway winner Tantheem in the 6f G3 Barriere at Deauville. Look at the horses Muthmir has btn or finished close behind since then, Alpha Delphini and Mabs Cross(1st and 2nd in the Nunthorpe), Take Cover won the Bullett, El Astronaute won the big york h'cap, Judicial won the G3 Coral Charge at Sandown. Admittedly City Lights ran a great race when just pipped in the G1 Jubilee stakes at Ascot but that was over 6fs(finished well) and again ran well in the G1 maurice geest but again over 6 1/2fs, i do remember putting up a preview for the Saint George in May and i felt then that City Lights was more of a 6f horse. The other horse in todays race Tantheem bolted up in the race at Deauville over 6fs on soft, but he did beat horses that are better over 6/7fs in Laugh a minute, Couer de Beaute, D'bai etc, and may have been flattered as his breeding doesn't suggest he's an out and out sprinter. On this basis i think that Muthmir has a great chance on this G/S ground to add to his fine record in France at 6/1 looks a steal EW with very little else in the race with a real chance imo.
