I think a stone below her best and the winner has ran miles better than York. I know it was a longer distance at York but she was hassled for the lead and ran a nothing race.
Everyone hailing Alpha as a wonder horse then you get that. She had won four won a row. People quick to knock Winx but how many has she won? |

What happened there? Alpha Centauri (AC) gave ground to Laurens (L) a filly that stayed further than 8f; got up to the L's girth but could not go past. Pilot error? I do not think AC will run further than 8f in the future; AC finish for the season; Ascot or America bound?

gpz1636, well done. Laurens does deserve a proper Gp 1 win over here. I think Mrs Harrington was not particularly keened on America post AC's win at Ascot because of the travelling involved. Maybe The QE2 Stakes at Ascot against Saxon Warrior (SW) if SW is chinned again by Roaring Lion later today in the Irish Champion Stakes.
