And Weekender as a pacemaker i assume, so should be a very genuine pace.

I will be very surprised if they both turn up even though they have been declared to run.
Report Andriy • September 6, 2018 11:54 AM BST
Don't see why both don't run. JG has always said this is the target for Enable, and i don't think he'd be bothered about finishing a close 2nd to Ocean since it's all about being 100% for the Arc. Stoute will have always known Enable is to run, so why would he pull Ocean out now.

Well I hope your right.Grin

Crystal Ocean is doing battle with Enable giving the filly 5lbs plus 3 filly allowance; 13/8 and 4/7 respectively with only a bookie quoting at the moment. A great opportunity for potential layer of Enable if sceptical about the fitness and/or welfare of the filly, I believe.

If it happens Crystal Ocean all the way for me.

No reason why either will not run on saturday, all being well. I think this race could also be a fact-finding opportunity for connections of Crystal Ocean regards a possible tilt in the Breeders' Cup whether on the Dirt or Turf.

Would be great to see September Stakes and Winter Derby upgraded to group 2.

It's a conditions race, Crystal Ocean has to give Enable 8 lb (based on G2 win after March) yet is only 1 lb ahead on ratings.

Crystal Ocean will be fitter, but first run on AW surface. Enable has proven form on Polytrack (and Tapeta).

Stablemate Weekender will ensure a decent pace.

A race to watch, and i like Crystal Ocean, but if i had to bet i would be with Enable.

Poor Cribbs Causeway and Peak Princess. Connections probably thought they'd pick up a cheap G3 and that lot turn up.

Upgraded to Gp 2...on an all-weather track? Never, the venue is not fit for proper British Horse Racing.

To clarify the above (my post of 13.02) that is actually incorrect the way it reads. It should be ....

A group 3 race with conditions, Crystal Ocean has to give Enable 8 lb (including a 5 lb group 2 win after March penalty) yet is only 1 lb ahead on ratings.

In mitigation, i was typing, eating ice cream and trying to post before going back to work Wink

Impossible123,

Upgraded to Gp 2...on an all-weather track? Never, the venue is not fit for proper British Horse Racing.

Promoted to Group 3 status in 1982.

Has been run at Newmarket and Epsom, but was originally staged on the turf track at Kempton.
