Josephine Gordon decides her race is over with a furlong to go

Christ, she's not made much effort there at all. Makes you wonder.

Laid the 1st/3rd F/c.

Was sure I'd lost through her lack of any effort.

Has she had many rides for Beckett, must admit not a jockey I've noticed riding for the yard often before ?

don't worry .... the stewards have looked at her ride and banned the jockey on the winner for 5 days

she just did the same again and got caught for 3rd

backed greatrex there, knew he'd be furious about that 5 day ban ..

Greatrex was not banned at all.

Race 2 - 2:45pm
THE THREE WAY LINK FILLIES' NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 5) (PLUS 10 RACE)

An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls when PIMLICO PLEASER (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Seamus Cronin, interfered with the winner, ENCHANTED LINDA, ridden by Edward Greatrex. Being a 7lb claimer, Cronin was accompanied by the trainer’s representative. Cronin was suspended for 5 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drifted right-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Greatrex to have to take a check and stumble.

Following the race, the representative of George Scott reported that LYSANDER BELLE (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good on this occasion, and would prefer a faster surface.
