Sure it isn't your clogged up computer - FOYLES?

  -  a far more likely scenario.

I cannot fault Virgin Cable - to be truthful. ... 15 years with them.

Isn't PLusnet not just a 'cheap and cheerful' - LESSER  - version of BT.

BT possibly the more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I thought virgin had speeds of upto 300, where as the best "ultrafast" fibre broadband from bt etc is only 100Mb ?

Very similar however Plusnet customer service is amongst the best i've ever encountered anywhere and is UK based. BT higher complaints rate than Plusnet. On balance best value i'd say. Been with them years, not a single issue.

you all do realise that all the relevant companys bar virgin media only supply by name?

they all rent the line from bt open reach.

I switched To Virgin recently, and I'm on VIVID 350 Optical Fibre. Never had a problem with it so far.

True willie but some offer different contention ratios.. eg the number of users using that 1 line

I've been with them all and now with ZEN. Expensive but good service and don't restrict any sites if you uses Warez, streaming or KODI.
Had a router failure last month and they sent another the same day (FRITZ BOX 3490) that was an upgrade on my original one

used to be with Virgin and they were FANTATASTIC compared to Sky who use BT. I am now going back to Virgin as with Sky, unless my device is almost next to the router thingy, then even with boosters, it is rubbish reliability

Virgin putting mine up 3.48 from 1st October but it is good.  You need the fastest Mbps.

Beware of the Sky Q system. Wi Fi unreliable away from the main phone point.

Virgin is mikes ahead as long as u are in a god area ask people that stay near about and clitches
By:

When: 29 Aug 18 20:34
Virgin only miles ahead if there is a good selection for others to chose from. If everyone is on virgin, or the line from the box is an old copper wire or the box is an old box waiting for new switches etc etc etc then they are also ****. In fairness not one supplier offers the service level they advertise and the customer service on all (bar plusnet) are also ****.

... so mike owns virgin, but if you live near a church, and remember to ask the neighbours about any clits. Shocked

Also I seldom use ZEN for phone calls as I use 18185 for longer calls or my 3p a minute PAYG.

the problem with fibre..ie bt infinity..you need to be within reasonable distance from the street cabinet...example..our office in seaton burn is 50yds from the cabinet...45mb download and 12mb upload
the cabinet at newc track is over 1200metres away..max speed 10-12mb.
of course bt dont explain any of this..they merely say 'up to' xyz.
