Still Learning, unfortunately HR is becoming a minority interest now, mainly for the over 50/60s, so you don't get much traffic on any forums these days. Talking horses the old channel 4 HR forum is probably the best, you do get quite a few owners giving their views on their horses chances. Also some knowledgeable guys over there, but can be painfully slow. OLBG is another but quite a few post on here anyway, imo not as good as it was 3/4 years ago.

I like this forum. I have been on here since 2003 (had a sabbatical, came back in 2012 as SL, then had another sabbatical, came back again this year in the same guise.

I agree with many posters that this is probably the most active forum. Where else could you post boiler problems and have 10 replies within 10 minutes? :-).

When I look back at old threads which keep being reincarnated I see many names from the past that I have long forgotten about, surely they haven't all died? Say 50% have, there is still a lot of names not posting. I know the bickering and slagging has turned away at least one person as he has posted this elsewhere, there must be many more.

I agree I don't have to read those posts, I admit I do view them now and again, I do find some of the posts quite amusing, but it just seems to be burkey this, mart that... and it seems to infiltrate most threads, even ones that have nothing to do with them in the original post.

I'm sure it wasn't as bad as this, as I have said, I have spent time away, maybe someone can confim or deny this.

Anyway, the upshot is, I will try and tiptoe around the drivel and pick out the nugget postings relating to possible winners ;-)
