The Saturday mug money was on it today, last time out at Newbury was "the day" after being teed up at Royal Ascot with one of the most laughable rides you will ever see.

It's really hard to comprehend that these fackwits on ITV have not even mentioned the troubled run the fav got when absolutely cruising - beggars belief

itv racing, the lot of them, have seen that ride and are clearly refusing to discuss it to spare the jockey. another example of racing looking after their own.

lets be fair at 1 30 today you were a million to nearly get put over the rails at York this week, clean racing all week and suddenly toiday all the jocks decide the inside the place to be,must have all received the bookies brown envolopes, the racings gone from A,B,C to the usual Saturday lottery just like the bookies like it

The whole programme is now beyond a joke..not to discuss Winston's ride on the shortest priced Ebor favourite in the last god knows how many years just beggars belief.

It's Tony Bloom that picks Robert Winston NOT Willie Mullins. Interesting to contrast the ride with Adam Kirby's ride on Flaming Spear, Bloom's Goodwood winner. AK left nothing to chance and came wide.

Anthing can happen. Might have 2 on same day like today at diff meetings. Winston might get injured or few days suspension. Bloom may prefer Kirby, not a 1/10 shot imo.

He clearly panicked and tried to force a gap that wasn't there. The winner romped home anyway, and would have been very tough to beat but Winston did do something wrong.

Of course Willie, and jockeys make mistakes every day. Hold a horse up on the inside in a big field and you need the cards to fall in your favour. When they stayed on the rail it was always going to be difficult. In my view he panicked too early but it's cost him a placing at worst.

Imo your opinion isn’t worth a hill of beans, if it was any good then you wouldn’t be going round Britain in a shhitty little van , laying fallers for 2 pound a pop.

there always a hard luck story in the ebor last year it was Edward Greatrex on NATURAL SCENERY this year its Stratum guess its just one of them racing where you need the rub of the green.

First 4 home drawn 13 17 20 21. Stratum drawn 4. There's your first clue.
Horse had to really ping from the gate and be very close up early doors. Didn't happen. After that the horse needed all the luck to get a run. Entirely predictable - no point in slagging the jock.

as the winner had brunch in a few hotels down the back on the way round, was at various stages 2,3,4 wide coming round the bend, came wide in the straight, before dotting up you,d be a brave man to say he wouldn't have won drawn low, dropping to 1 mile 6 and everything happening that bit quicker , other horses quickening would be a better argument , imo

why no chance of stratum winning over 1 mile 6 drawn 20 wouldn't have the pace to get in at any point, would be out the back, basically in the same position he was in yesterday

AS you say 1st time, the winner came wide and managed to get a clear run. Drawn inside he may well been stuck in on the rails and waiting for his opportunity, same as Stratum. If Winston was drawn outside he may well have had the clear run he couldn't get up the rails.
Winston had plenty of horse under him 2 out and if he had been lucky to get the run, i'm not so sure who would have won.
