Fanaar has been laid out for this all season (trainer/owner combo have won it twice before) and I'd been looking forward to having a decent e/w bet but then it goes and gets stuck in draw 1 which on yesterdays evidence is a big disadvantge.
Have still had a reasonable bet on it but have also had a small bet on Barossa Red @ 40/1

To be honest with the prize on offer, this will have been the main target for the majority of these all season and i think prize money goes to 10th so there will be plenty going for it.
That said I struggle to see how Fanaar who is a solid 84 rated horse and figures he's ran too are slightly lower is going to be good enough to beat the 7/8 horses in the line up off level weights who have already put up figures of 90+.
8/1 is incredibly short and I'm struggling to see the two winners haggas has had for Hamdan in the race as well ?
Kodyanna looks the stand out horse for me.

Over the years low numbers have had the edge. It certainly cost me yesterday but might just have been one of those days when it goes against the grain.

I even rewatched the video of her run in the Super Sprint this morning to see if there was any excuse but she seemed to have a perfect run through the race and was bang there but was just very one paced in the last furlong. Hard to imagine her bolting up today on that basis. Fahey, like a Johnston, is one of those trainers I never seem to get right.
