If Betfair is half competent they will be able to settle according to the time stamp on the bet - maybe they'll void the in-running bets but shouldn't affect bets placed before the off.

Site was frozen at the 'Off' - if not before - here.

Accepted in running bets until far side last circuit at Newton Abbot 7:10 on my PC

Ive got the best part of a grand in bets split between pre race and in running what a joke of a company this is sometimes

Phuckng jokers have voided i/r bets which were matched before the crashed happened.

Unlucky, good thing I only play i/r so the worst what that can happen is that I don't get paid out on anything matched.

Why have they voided all IR bets? I laid a horse before it fell at the correct price, IR was working fine or do they think hundreds of people were trying to bet a horse without a jockey? Why not find out when the site crashed, settle at that time, don't void everything FFS.

Whenever they're not able to suspend a race at the end, they've always voided all i/r bets.

I know this market was working all the way to the line when the winner went 1.01, the market had settled itself. They really are morons.

There were several posts at the time saying it had never gone in play.  If that's the case, they have no option as some of the bets being taken might not have been intended to be keep bets.

I had a long list of matched bets in running that have now disappeared into the ether. No explanation from Betfair and I can't seem to email Customer Services
The market was running normally until the run in.. looks like someone didn't close it in time. Human Error.

They were clearly having issues with the site prior to that time.  The 1830 still hadn't been settled. 

If they were unable to turn the site in-play, they will have had no option but to void bets matched after the actual off time.

What is Betfair's definition of an outage?

The point at which Betfair disables betting on www.betfair.com/exchange.

Please note - Should Betfair Mobile and/or our API go down but the desktop still be accessible, you will be able to continue betting on the desktop site and this will not constitute an outage.


Betfair will disable betting when:

Customers are unable to log in to or navigate the website.

Customers are unable to view prices on the website.

Customers are unable to place bets on the website.


Will my bets be cancelled?

All Unmatched and keep bets will be cancelled in the following instances:

Unmatched and keep bets will be cancelled on markets which are In-Play during an outage.

Bets which, at the moment betting is disabled, are unmatched on outright winner markets where there may be material price changes due to related In-Play events. For example, a tennis tournament winner market when a tournament semi-final is taking place at the time an outage begins.

Horse & Greyhound Races: Bets which, when an outage ends, are unmatched on horse and greyhound races that are due to take place within the next 20 minutes.
