The Hanagan ride was rancid after the big drift

Hanagan's ride wasn't rancid, it was coming with a good run, when the owners other horse went backwards straight into his lap and stopped him dead. After that there was no point Hanagan doing anything as his chance had gone. But the horse went in my notebook as a potential improver that's for sure.

As usual you're right.. Hanagan had ample opportunities to move wide but kept running his horse into the back of another. His half push, half pull up in the last furlong was hilarious.

Money down in the next, and given the ride to match. Only reason I backed it. Amazing how the drifters are unlucky in running and the plunge jobs aren't.
