No, just artists so far.

By:
No, we are doing artists and **** (the artist) might just count.

By:
I stand corrected, I'd always assumed he was named after WB.

By:
Mikael - beat me to it. Why cant you say **** on here.
|
|
By:
Not my favourite, but Gustav Klimt ran yesterday, just in case, it is someone's favourite. John Constable is a decent hurdler.

Why cant you say Y E A T S, when you can say yates, yaytes, **** etc.

Ah Ah - It is Yeat that is the problem. What on earth is Yeat, it is not even a racehorse. It means very little, but the simple introduction of an s will allow you to get away with yeast.
|
|
By:
Great post Glasgow - him of the wet moonlit yorkshire scenes.
|
|
By:
So Yeat isnt the problem but **** offends the rules. A simple movement of the s to convert to yeast is allowed. Will the addition of an apostrophe to produce **** be allowed. Perhaps not. Tell you what I will try yeatts with two t's just for fun
|

By:
Unbeaten, ill-fated Kneller was another of Charles St George's.
|
|
By:
This is lunacy - Why cant I say **** as written, or **** in capitals or **** with an apostrophe between the t and s even though this is a ridiculous circumvention or not as the case may be. I will ring in the morning and let you know.

Richie - I know it's late but I think Macs plan is for horses named after artists as per his listing.
|
|
By:
Doyen/Court Masterpiece was a £1 double placed using my pocket money. £18 return was the most money I'd ever had in my life at the time.

Hey, that's my 10000th post on here. Nothing to be proud of particularly but there it is, and it was vaguely critical

Just a late night aside. But, re the Queen's horse Sextant yesterday. I know she takes pride in naming her horses, but this one is a cracker - Sea the Stars out of Hypoteneuse. Bet that was two gins at least. Awesome!!.

By:
This is quite funny, a sober Oliver Reed on the Johnny Carson show telling Shelley Winters to shut up and having a drink poured over him!

Claude Monet deserves a mention, owned by Daniel Wildenstein trained by Henry Cecil won the 84 Heathorn stakes and the Dante stakes before weakening in the Derby at the 2f mark won by Secreto in a photo from El Gran Senor. Was from the 1st crop of American Triple Crown winner Affirmed. Seem to recall there was a decent hurdler of the same name trained by David Gandolfo.
Which also leads us to the great Grey chaser Monets Garden who was a great jumper especially around Aintree where his victories included beating Kauto Star in the Old Roan Chase a race he won 3 times. Won 17 out of 32 starts. |

By:
Monets garden was also owned by David Wesley Yates!
