it's just a different way of collecting PC . if after 2/3 months they have collected less than what they would have with the straight 20%-60% , they will up your fixed rate . if they have taken too much , they will lower it

that is what i was told effectively by 2 guys at betfair . like dave1357 says , there may well be times that you will be better off depending on how you play , but i just got the impression that if you are better off, they will just up the rate

If you traded and were winning relatively little and often then it would be like Christmas everyday. But if you did that they wouldn't offer it in the first place.

john , they would just set the fixed rate percentage appropriate to your figures , so that they are not getting less every month ( on average ) than they would if you was on a straight 40% per week

i don't quite know the maths behind it , but betfair will not be putting anyone on a fixed rate if it means they will be getting less from you .
i am on 40% and was offered something like 17%-18%
9% if you are on 20% PC yes . i don't quite know the maths behind it , but betfair will not be putting anyone on a fixed rate if it means they will be getting less from you .i am on 40% and was offered something like 17%-18%
Fckin hell, I'm surprised they would offer 18%. That would just p1ss me off if I got offered that. They are better not bothering.
They'll have some profit/turnover/number of bets type formula I'm guessing.

RL , it was explained to me that it is just a different way of taking PC . so i would say yes . if you are on 20% PC and had no losses , they would re-calculate it after 3 months and see how far short they are of what they would have collected at 20% PC , and adjust your fixed rate accordingly .
if betfair would lose out putting you on a fix rate, then it is 1.01 that they wouldn't put you on it .
i have been on betfair about 10 years , and have never had anything from them , no hat , no scarf , not even a letter through the post lol
they give nothing away

i think , if you won and loss in the next 3 months consistently and very similar to the way you did the previous 3/6/12 months, you would be no better off .
someone else may be able to clarify that tbh RL
