13.35 sees mistress of love run in the Ayr today , A rare million dollar purchase running at this venue , Her sire few 100,000 dollars cost more than any tbe other runners , be a few red faces if she does not eat this lot up for breakfast , be good too see a top class filly !
1.61 on some horse that's never seen the track. Wouldn't make anything long term in a million years backing at these odds. The normal pluses are there for all to see it can win half the track as far as I'm concerned but never a play at these odds.

referring to myself of course, I'm not and never will be good enough to beat the market on these runners!
Anyway I'm out for the day so look forward to seeing it romp home on the snaff 10l and hearing how everyone should have backed it.
Mart if you have/are backing it please post your bet BEFORE the race, this is the sort of ambiguous post that causes murders on here.

Price tags are based on pedigree and confirmation, many a donkey has looked and been bred for the job and made big money at yearling sales. A March foal, by Scat Scaddy I would have expected her to have made the track already with that sort of pedigree, so one would suggest she had either been slow to hand or had some sort of problem early doors. She would have had a price tag that connections would have been thinking Lowthers / Albany's early doors and I personally see it a negative she is making her debut in the middle of August in a lowly novice at Ayr. A lack of big race entries is also a shade offputting, yes she has a Debutante entry, but no Lowther or Moyglare entry must raise questions on just what this $1m purchase has been showing at home. In Freed From Desire she takes on an experienced filly who has run a solid 75-80 three times and will be as straight as a gun barrel. With Callum's 3lb claim, she has to give 3lb to the hotpot, but experience can count for plenty. Connections of the fav know she will need to run to 85 to win today, which if she is to be a classy filly, she should be able to, but it's still quite a high target for a horse on debut believe it or not. At 4/7 this would be one to watch for me, especially being by a fast ground stallion, out of a mare who's only foal to run to date has looked limited by all accounts and the dam was not effective on the track until stepped up to a mile and improved with age.
The lack of big race entries lead me to feel this filly like her mother may end up a better 3yo and may not be considered as one for the top 2yo fillies races by her connections, and maybe they are looking to grab a win an put her away.
The race on the whole is not strong but there is a solid yardstick in the race who won't be a pushover with experience and with heavy rain the order of the day, this American filly may not have conditions ideal.
I wouldn't be laying at 4/7, but I sure as hell wont be backing her. You can get 4/1 Freedfromdesire if you change the place terms to 2 places on here, and I think she would prove an each way bet to nothing on those terms, as I would expect her to be 2nd if this filly is classy, but is the likely one to beat her if she is not up to the price tag, or runs green or is still immature.

Apologies for posting after the result, but how could anyone back the filly at 2/5 (or even 5/2) simply based on a price tag. Far too many unknowns, you might just as well back something on the cartoon racing. Same owners as Advertise ?
No i didn't lay it, i wasn't even aware until i saw the thread, although i probably wouldn't have anyway.
Hope you didn't lose much. Good luck.

On debut figures she would, but one was very green and galloped up in the air, and the other done very little wrong. I would still back the colt in a match over 7f.

Koi - Easier for a single thread with a loser to drop off or go unnoticed. I seen the puppets post and strange how the Strasbourg bet was mentioned yesterday when it had won, yet the golf bet only mentioned today because the result wasn't known until late last night!! I am sure we would have seen both the losers though and it would have been put up unedited.... it's all about respect you see!!!

KOD is on the wind up and the trouble is mart just falls for it and thinks hes his mate!! If it won the reply from KOD would have probably said "obvious it was a max bet job" - and mart would have fallen for whatever answer/scenario happens as he's a touch on the gullible side..
