The Shergar Cup meeting was created - because there are/were NO 'Feature meetings between Glorious GOODWOOD and YORK Ebor meetings.
Only so many decent horses to go around - and they target Goodwood and York - OR - can even run at the DEAUVILLE FESTIVAL that is held throughout August.
Peter O'Sullevan always went on HOLIDAY (to Deauville of course) for the whole of August
Have PATIENCE - SEPTEMBER is a superb month - starting with the Doncaster St Leger meeting... and ending with the Cambridgeshire meeting.
