As long as he makes an effort to achieve the bet possible place, I doubt anyone will have any complaints.

If you don't ride out a horse to obtain the best possible finishing position YOU SHOULD BE BANNED, regardless of whether New Abbey Angel is quirky, he has not even pushed the horse out in the final furlong or so, and therefore HAS NOT RIDDEN THE HORSE OUT TO OBTAIN THE BEST POSSIBLE FINISHING POSITION, so I stand by he should be banned and it was a corrupt ride. Very critical for someone who said they would not 'out' dodgy jocks not so long ago on here Dom....is this not such an example? |

Howay lads it's NEW ABBEY ANGEL FFS as explained above on several posts riding that horse aggressively achieves nothing but a worse performance,connections are just running him knowing what he is they even gave up on headgear this year.

well you shouldnt be allowed to run if youre perceived to have made no effort at all, he almost seemed to get out of everyone's way. He wasn't a 1000 shot.

Have no more to say on N A A it's all on the thread as for Fanning's other rides I believe there aint much between all jockeys riding,Whitley thinks 3lbs between best and worst (according to Willo) so jockeyship doesn't feature in my considerations nowadays.

We all know New Abbey Angel but Fanning simply has to do more than he did in that race. No one is suggesting that he hits it 10 times but to just more or less sit still the whole race isn't acceptable. Jockeys have certainly ridden that horse with much more vigour and obtained better results in the past.

Trainers/Jockeys clearly run the stewards room..which gives them no fear of running/riding in whatever non-trying way they please.

I have watched jpsullivan on many rides this year whereby he hasn’t been taken to task for his race riding. Surely it’s only a matter of time that someone challenges the lack of action taken by stewards or the bha. The volume of poor rides is at an all time.
