not sure who you are implying is ill educated, but dom made a book on here for Just Wonderful's race at RA. The overround was about 220%. he was a jockey and is now a photographer. he is clearly uneducated.

IMO the only chance you had of saying a unraced horse could be the best ever was if you were Vincent or Henry the rest are just guessing.

Just looking at the racing post stats. If Blenheim Palace was really special and all the dogs were barking then he wouldn't go off at 5-1 on debut.
Frankel went off at 7-4F despite the fact that a lot of people in Newmarket were incredibly excited about one of Gosdens called Nathanial. Amazing these two genuine superstars were in the same maiden. Frankel won, just. |
