The form guides in the daily papers used to have all the information you need, but they all seem to have cut their coverage quite drastically in recent years.

It's true, many of them carry only 4 or 5 races a day now.

Here's why it's best to take the writings with a pinch of salt.
"A winner at 1m, but that win was over three years ago. Beaten 11l behind Frown at 15-2 when 9th of 14 on his latest outing over this course and distance last month."
"One win from 23 Flat runs. Nineteen runs since last win in 2015. 15/2, ninth of 14 in handicap at this C&D 30 days ago. Vulnerable to less-exposed sorts."
The horse in the 2.45 Newcastle Cadeau Magnifique comes in 2nd. The fav is 5th.
Any wonder we lose sometimes if these writing experts haven't a clue.
