While out trolling the streets for value pop in to a local library @ 10p a page. Must be value for the occasional email!

All I want is to receive an E.Mail, copy it on to the printer and have a sheet of paper in my hand. Christ. it can't be that difficult?

No, send it to their printer from your phone, if you cannot manage that there will be some bespectacled know it all behind the counter.

If you are talking about a smart or i phone I don't have one. Hopefully steve will sort me out.

Yes - stewarty - You won't get anything much cheaper -

  - and for what you want it for  - then 'cheap & cheerful'

The Ink cartridges never last that long on any Printer - and some Printers you have to change ALL 4 colours when just one runs out .

Set the Printer to Print in JUST BLACK for emails - NOT Full colour -

Your colour cartridges will last longer that way - although, somewhat strangely, a Printer still uses SOME Colour ink even when Printing in just BLACK  - But if you get a Printer with INDIVIDUAL cartridge replacement - then you can just replace the Black ... when that runs out first.

Like you stewarty I dont use a printer often,I found that the inkjet ones dried up on me,if it's only for emails better with a cheap black and white laser printer.

Do you mean printing the odd email to then photocopy it or printing duplicates of an email, either way it depends on what you wish to spend and the strength of your wi-fi connection, given you say that you are not technically gifted (I didn't smirk honest) the set up of a wireless printer might be too involved for you, though most are very easy to follow as they give step by step instructions.
Using a usb cable and a disk to download the appropriate drivers would perhaps be the easier option for you, again you will just need to follow the onscreen instructions, only drawback is it will restrict your movement, but no reason why you can't unplug the usb cable from the laptop after you have printed what you need and reconnect it the next time you wish to print something, the settings will be permanently saved so you won't need to run the disk again after the initial installation.
Any basic printer will suffice for your needs if they are just for simple printing or photocopying just make sure it is compatible to your laptop, any shop assistant should be capable of telling you this if you have your laptop details with you.

I use a laser printer for just black/white printing as it works out cheaper in the long run.

Well, that's the problem Corky. (no smirks here either) miss stew uses a printer at work almost daily. I don't know if it's wi fi or plug in. She's at her own home watching A&E so no phone call!


All want is simple receive E.Mail and print it out on to one sheet. This only came about recently and is fairly urgent for betting purposes.

Get the important of the mail on screen

Press PrntScrn

Open Paint: Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Paint

When it opens press CTRL + V

Save it
