Not for me it isn't although it makes little difference as to the class of racing at Newcastle.

Gosden's is a very nice horse and he only sends his good ones to Newcastle (Christ knows why, it's a graveyard for me).

These novice races are usually far to tricky to punt imo. Cant see past the top 4. Which one wins is anyones guess!

Best well bred race of the whole week? Got to be.  Frankel, Galileo, Havana Gold, Dubawi, Mastercraftsmen, Nathaniel, Duke of Marmalade, Pioneerof the Nile, Teofilo, Champs Elysees, Thewayyouare. Quality stuff looking forward to this race.

Also most likely that these have the highest vet fee's. Well bred horses not made the track more than 2/3 times at this time of year as 3yo's, there will have been problems galore with these.

Elasia could be anything. Big price in an open race.

Elasia wont come anywhere today, save you money and wait for a 14-16f handicap with her.

Rather dismissive JD, should improve for her first run and the extra furlong, not to mention the drop in class, wouldn't back anything in the race as there are too many imponderables as most have already pointed out, just surprised that you appear so confident that she won't be anywhere near the frame

Just have a feeling they wont want her too close to horses proven as 80+ horses, when ran 10lb below that on debut.  It's not a drop in class either. Nothing more annoying when people go on about class of Novice races, there is zero between a Class 2 and a Class 5 Novice, except prize money.

But then it got backed back in again to 8/1.  Market all over the place, really.

Reason I liked it was I noticed the comments about it needing a gallop (prob needing every yard of this trip) so I was hoping something would set a good pace.

It was what Havlin done at the top of the straight that annoys me. He was coming wide and takes the horse back behind horses and waits another furlong. To me he rode it like he didn't want to win on it. That's not the first time either. I much prefer it was Nicky Mackay rides the Gosden horses in northern maiden's, he may not be the best of riders, but he tries his heart out.

havlin ,, very good at what he does best,,,  he does the same as me when im in the passengers seat and someone else is driving ,  my foot is on the brake pedal,,
