the horse is probably that old

i remember" the boll weevil" it was irish trained and ran at the chelt fest in the 70s or 80s

The old-timer was a jumper called The Bo Weevil. Can't remember anything about the horse, though, other than the name, which was what the beetle in question was called in blues ballads 'bout how it gone eatin' through ma cotton 'n' ma corn, lordy.
