Going out early tomorrow for lunch and a few drinks so thought I would put up my selection now. Stole the Show in the first at MR. FAV has decent form but this steals it for me.
Dr Richard Newland (Last 14 days: 5-6, 83%). That's a helluva strike rate and plenty evens going about but will take 5/6 at a push. gl/all.
Should add, less mileage than the FAV.

Nine of us for lunch a 2:pm. Big D and three of his pals and three ladies plus miss stew and myself. Sounds good so far but when he phoned me to confirm he asked if I fancied anything. I told him yes, I'm sticking a few bob on Stole the Show. He tells me to back it for him also. Then he phones me back and his 3 pals want a ton on each.
Now I'm under pressure as when all the bets are tallied up it comes to a four figure sum. Not a problem perhaps but now I have the pressure of the four ladies having a drink in the pub whilst 5 of us watch the race in a bookies. Wished I kept my mouth shut as if it's beat then there will be no sour grapes but I would have preferred the race to have been later on.
Not much fun tucking into a meal when a few bob has been lost beforehand. Anyways I now have to troll the city centre to try and get as much 11/10 as I can and probably some evens.

I never look at jump races but I've had a quick gander at this one and fair to say, stewy, you've a 50/50 chance of being right. Good luck!

I can help you with that George, The race it won was a Conditional Jockeys race, therefore no penalty
Cheers YDNA, obviously I knew they went unpenalised if then running in a non-conditionals race, but hadn't realised it carried forward to a novice hurdle 4 runs later.
Neesom has tossed a coin and he's come down on the side of stewy's pic, as he reckons the Ellison would be better off the on the AW at Newcastle!

Thanks lads. A hectic day if nothing else and also quite stressful with 800 of Geordie money on my shoulders before I got the last of the evens.
I was just thankful when it jumped the last and a wee roar went up. The meal and bar will was hefty but two of us shared it and then it was cocktail time....
Don't know how it would go if they met again with the winner having a penalty and the second blowing the cobwebs away. Anyways strike while the iron is hot.

The thing is FOYLE it's always just the one mate who sometimes follows me in. Next thing I know I've got half his squad! I told him in future if he wants to back a beast of mine and I think I can nick the price trolling the city centre just to give me a figure.
I got a wee bit annoyed afterwards as his young nephew is up from Newcastle getting well payed helping him out for a while and he said he would get a round of drinks in. Next thing I know the women are ordering bottles of Prosecco! The round came to over sixty quid but he was reimbursed.
They should have have been grateful for a vodka and coke but once that booze starts hitting the female brain cells...!
